Winter birding on the Stour Estuary

For CNHS members we publish a series of self-guided walks in North Essex. These PDFs are free to download from the Members section and give you all the information you need for a fabulous morning or afternoon of wildlife watching.

NEW for winter 2022 is a bird-watcher's dream walk along the Stour Estuary. With hints and tips on good spots to stop our experienced ornithologist Russell Leavett shows you how you can make the most of a trip to Mistley and Cattawade whether arriving on foot, in your car or by train. For those who are less mobile there are places to park and watch from the comfort of your own mobile 'bird hide'.

[If you are a CNHS member be sure to sign up for your login to this website and get access to more walks as we publish them.]
