Indoor Meeting - Tuesday 26 September - 7.30pm at the Old Heath Community Centre, Colchester

Sarah Manning - ‘An Introduction to Fungi’

An introduction to the fascinating yet relatively poorly understood kingdom of fungi, exploring what they are, what they do, and why they're vital to the planet and everything on it. We'll also look at how to go about identifying them, and how to forage for edible species without poisoning everyone at the dinner table! Sarah is the Society’s fungi recorder and is leading a number of ‘fungi forays’ this autumn.
