Friday 27 August - Wivenhoe Woods Bat Evening - 7.40pm - 10.40pm This is a joint event with the Essex Bat Group. Booking is Essential on 01206 853588 Adults £5.50, children, Essex Bat Group and CNHS members free. There are no toilets.
Meet the Ranger at the Rosabelle Avenue car park, Wivenhoe, nearest post code CO7 9PA, OS ref: TM035223. A free car park. A one mile circular walk around Wivenhoe Woods identifying different bat species using electronic bat detectors. Stout footwear should be adequate for this walk with some inclines/declines but may be muddy after rain. Suitable for all the family. Please bring a torch with you.
