About the event

Tuesday 26 March - Indoor meeting - 7.30pm at Old Heath Community Centre, Colchester.

The Wild Bees - Diversity, Behaviour and Ecology - Ted Benton.

The talk will follow on from the event shared with Nick Owens last year and will be a further introduction to the lives of these fascinating insects, focusing on species that can be found in the Colchester area. Tips will be given for identifying some of the more distinctive species in the field as well as from photographs. The importance of urban habitats, including gardens, will be discussed alongside how to attract bees to the garden with videos of intriguing behaviour.
