About the event
This ancient wood is mentioned in the Doomsday Book and is a mixed broadleaved wood with many species recorded. Maureen, one of the owners, will be inviting us on a walk around the wood to see what species can be found. We should find Nightingales in full song plus many other woodland species. We’ll also be looking at the spring flora and any other wildlife to be found.
