About the event

Booking is essential for this event.

We will be looking for butterflies, grasshoppers and other invertebrates in this wonderful little patch of north-east Essex where woodland, wildflower fields, pastures, conservation margins, hedgerows and a little orchard provide a good mix of habitats. We will of course be keeping eyes and ears open for other wildlife such as birds or any particularly interesting plants. Everyone is welcome, whether expert of not. Meet at Humberlands. Access is a driveway from the A137 approximately 100 metres west of the 40mph speed limit sign at ‘Garden City’, Lawford. It is signed Parringtons Farm and Public Bridleway. At the bottom of the drive, turn left. The grid reference is TM075312. What3Words: neatly.dentistry.reef. There is a bus stop at Garden City; Humberlands is a short walk down permissive paths and bridleways from there.

Obviously the event is weather dependent. It is essential to book your place…
