Hunt for the Heath Bumblebee (and friends) - Ted Benton and Friends of the Heath
An afternoon spent with Ted Benton looking for the Essex-rare Heath Bumblebee amongst other insects, such as the Mottled Grasshopper, Common Groundhopper, Heather Mining Bee and the Green-eyed Flower Bee. Tiptree Heath is a fine heathland site, a rare habitat in Essex.

Meet at the Tiptree Heath car park on the B1022 Tiptree to Maldon road, at about 800 metres on the Maldon side of Tiptree. This is a joint meeting with Friends of the Heath.
