Sunday 21 August - CBC Hilly Fields Local Nature Reserve - Summer Insects and Birds - 2pm till 4pm. Led by Dougal Urquhart.

Meet at the Hilly Fields, Sussex Road entrance, Colchester CO3 3QX, [Grid ref: TL984252 W3W fingernails.nasal.limes] at 2pm. Please note that parking restrictions apply in Sussex Road so park with care. Buses go close-by. Stout footwear will be adequate for this visit and it should be noted that there are no toilets.

Join Dougal Urquhart looking at summer insects, birds and flowers in this attractive local nature reserve. We will be keen to see the good variety of butterflies, crickets and grasshoppers and hopefully the bee-wolf colony on the paths too. Bring your binoculars to help scan the skies for birds such as sparrowhawk, buzzard and maybe lower down some woodpeckers and warblers. Contact Dougal on 07494 866157 to book a place.
