About the event

Saturday 4 May - 9.30am - lunchtime - Elmstead Market Woodland Trust NR near Colchester - led by Michael Padmore - please contact him on 07936 325603 to book and for further information. Please note, there is no parking at the reserve; we will meet at the car park off the Clacton Road/A133 in Elmstead Market (What 3 Words - buzzards.mushroom.soulful - nearby postcode CO7 7FH)

A visit to this little-known Woodland Trust reserve, with a wide range of habitats, including meadows, riverbank, and woodland. One of the few places in NE Essex where Willow Warblers have been heard singing in recent summers. Water voles have been recorded on site for decades and the plant life is spectacular so there is likely to be a wide variety of insects on the wing.
