Tuesday 7 May - Fridaywood, Colchester, Spring Wildlife Walk 10am - 1pm led by John Thorogood, who will take bookings on 01206 768771, or where a message can be left if he is out.
The meeting place is in the lay-by off the B1025 Colchester to West Mersea road at or . The lay-by is just before the Roman River crossing if coming from Colchester and it is well signed up. Stout footwear should be adequate. There are no toilet or other facilities. John knows the area and its wildlife very well. By early May, Nightingales and a range of other summer migrants should be singing their hearts out so this a good time to visit.
