Meeting point outside Starlight florist and tearoom, Colcheter Cemetery, Mersea Road CO2 8RU OS ref: TM001236 Booking essential on 01206 853588 Cost: £5.50 per adult, children, CNHS and Essex Bat Group Members free. Parking available at the cemetery.
Meet the Ranger outside one of the chapels to see if any bats are leaving the roost this evening. Then walk around the Cemetery identifying different bats using bat detectors, including crossing the road to look for bat activity over the lake in Bourne Valley. A circular walk of around one mile on surfaced paths. Please bring a torch with you. Suitable for all the family.
