About the event

Essentially a morning walk but you decide when to leave. Free to CNHS members, normal admission charges apply to others. Meet at Marks Hall Visitor Centre which is well signed up from the A120 near Coggeshall. There are facilities at the outset of the walk. Wear stout footwear and bring sunscreen and liquid with you. If you wish to stay for all of the day bring sandwiches or take lunch in the excellent Centre Cafe. For more information contact Ted Benton on 01206 867321

This is our annual mid-summer visit to Marks Hall to monitor butterflies in particular, but also to look at the wider range of plants and insects found throughout this very varied estate. As usual the visit will be led by Society President Ted Benton, who knows the site very well and has long been involved with the reintroduction of several butterfly species here.
