I live at Parrington's Farm, Lawford, where I was born, with my husband Tim, who is also a member of CNHS. We share the farm and woodland with my late sister's family. There are many different habitats described in the latest Nature in North East Essex, which include ancient wet woodland, wildflower meadows, and arable fields. We endeavour to look after our little nature reserve, monitor the butterfly, moth, bird and mammal population withe the help of Liz Cutting and Russell Leavett. I worked as a cytogeneticist in a Medical Research Council laboratory, in London for more than 40 years, and Tim was a Classics snd Russian teacher. we are very glad to be back living in the country again.
