Rose Bowl Photographic Competition 2019

Darren Tansley

There were some brilliant entries for this year's Rose Bowl competition. In the end the runner up for Local was Peter Beard with his beautiful close up of a painted lady butterfly. Liz Cutting pipped him to the top spot with a mesmerising study of a fox watching a red admiral. Simon Taylor was the runner up in the Rest of the World category with a wonderful shot of a bare-throated tiger-heron but once again Liz Cutting just cut ahead with a reflective shot of a European brown bear.

We will be uploading galleries of all the entries to each category so you can judge for yourself but here are the winning photos from 2019 and Liz collecting her trophy from CNHS Chairman Sven Wair for her overall winning photograph of the brown bear.
